Human Resource Manager (4 star hotel)

My Client is a funky four-star hotel located in Cork City, strong in regards to Food and Beverage and also could be classed as part corporate hotel due to its central location.
REPORTING TO: General Manager
PURPOSE OF ROLE To provide a comprehensive, confidential Human Resource support and Training Resource to the hotel to support achievement of business goals and strategy. To ensure that the hotel operates within the country employment law framework and company policies.
MAIN DUTIES INCLUDE:
Responsibility for advertising, recruitment and selection of employees, within budget parameters
To manage all policies laid down within the hotels terms and conditions of employment in a fair, consistent and progressive manner
To act as an adviser to Managers on all aspects of employment legislation ensuring full legal and company policy compliance
Manage all recruitment applications on a daily basis and ensuring that all Applicants are responded to within 5 days of receipt of Application
To ensure a progressive Grievance and Disciplinary procedure is implemented where and when necessary
Maintenance of Human Resource Statistics, eg. LTO, Sickness Tracker, Gender, etc.
To oversee the administration function within human resources in relation to employee files and contracts
To manage and drive the Performance Appraisal System ensuring clear objectives are set
To deliver Basic Food Hygiene, Customer Care Training, Fire, Health & Safety Training and other internal training activities in line with the Annual Training Plan
To ensure full compliance with Health and Safety Legislation with regard to delivery of training and record keeping
To maintain effective training records on all training activities
To carry out Departmental Training Audits on a 6 monthly basis to establish training and development needs in all departments
To provide effective methods of communication throughout the hotel to ensure all employees are kept informed and updated on hotel matters through Departmental meetings, HOD Meetings, ECCM, etc.
To maintain a strong liaison and communication with the Group Human Resource Manager
To manage and develop the Human Resource Assistant in all aspects of Human Resource Management
To ensure there is a highly motivated team and all problems are resolved mutually, using the hotel procedures eg Grievance Procedure.
Salary: €30,000-€50,000 (depending on experience)
