Restaurant Supervisor (4 star hotel)

My client is a well established Galway based hotel, It would have high volumes of weddings and F and B in general.
JOB PURPOSE
To ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Restaurant and to promote a positive image to both customer and colleagues in relation to service and quality of food and beverages.
To provide a high standard of the service of food and beverage to guests
ORGANISATIONAL POSITION
Restaurant Manager
Assistant Restaurant Manager
Restaurant Supervisor X 2
Waiter / Waitress (team of 35-40)
MAIN DUTIES
To carry out all Supervisory duties as per the agreed standards.
To take control and responsibility for the Restaurant.
To take every opportunity to maximise revenue.
To assist and carry out training as required and to document the same.
To be responsible for the day-to-day queries, complaints and issues that arises in the Restaurant.
To ensure the highest levels of Customer Care are practised at all times.
To ensure cash/vouchers and all forms of payment are handled in a secure and responsible manner.
To deal with all complaints in a courteous and efficient manner and inform the senior manager.
To attend the weekly head’s of department meetings in the absence of the Restaurant Manager or Assistant Restaurant Manager.
To ensure that reasonable care is taken for the Health and Safety of yourself, other employees, guests and any other persons on the Hotel premises.
To carry out fire and accident details
To observe all safety rules and procedures.
To ensure that all materials and equipment are not left in a hazardous state.
To report and where possible, take action on incidents of accidents, fire, loss or damage.
MOST CHALLENGING ASPECTS OF POST
Managing a large team of staff in a highly pressurised quality driven environment
OTHER DUTIES
Any other duties as directed by the Management
This job description is neither definitive nor restrictive and may be modified occasionally to meet the changing needs of the business.
HOURS OF WORK
Your normal working week will be 5 days over a 7-day roster. The weekly roster includes weekend work.
TENURE OF EMPLOYMENT
This post is full time in nature
ANNUAL LEAVE
Full time staff will be entitled to 20 days annual leave plus 9 Public holidays.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO DO THE JOB
1-2 years experience as a Restaurant Supervisor in a busy hotel property.
Should be motivated team player with excellent organisational and people management skills.
Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ensure customer service and hospitality levels are kept to an exceptional level.
Excellent planning and organisational skills.
Salary: €21,000-€25,000 (depending on experience)
