Senior Sous Chef required for Restaurant , Co Kerry, Ireland
This Bar & Restaurant is currently seeking a commercially aware Sous Chef with extensive kitchen and management experience. Applicants with 3-4 years experience in a top quality restaurant would be best suited to this role.
The Restaurant is 30 years in operation. It’s reputation is built on consistently good food, service and atmosphere. The main restaurant seats approx 60 people with a function room that can accommodate 30 people. Highest quality, locally sourced ingredients form the basis of our menu which consists of an extensive a la carte menu and weekly specials. Wine is a very important part of the business and many wines are imported directly from country of origin.

The Position
The ideal candidate will have proven culinary experience in a similar restaurant (at least 4 years). Prerequisites for this position include:
A passion for food and an interest in trying new ideas
Previous experience in a kitchen management position
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Haccp management experience
Ability to maintain stock control and profit margins
Manage kitchen team – rosters, training, mentoring
Report to Owner Chef
Terms and Conditions:
· Working week will involve 5-6 days.
· Salary depends on experience. From €35,000 + per annum
· Holiday pay of 8% paid at end of season
Salary: €35,000 (depending on experience)
