Device Modelling Engineer

A Limerick based company requires a Device Modelling Engineer.
You will be responsible for keeping up to date with industry best practice for model extraction through reading of research papers, attendance of conferences/workshops and conducting own research. While working closely with the process development group during the conception and run up of new semiconductor fabrication processes, this person needs to develop a very good understanding of the structure and performance characteristics of every device being offered by the new processes. The role will also involve research into techniques of improving the accuracy of both new and existing model sets.
You will have 3rd level degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Microelectronics or Applied Physics. A Masters in Engineering or previous experience in device characterisation and modelling is highly desirable. A strong technical ability is essential with a good understanding of MOS and BJT device physics.
