TRADE COMPLIANCE ANALYST, WEXFORD – maternity contract

Exciting opportunity to join the supply chain team of this very successful medical device company in Wexford. 9 month contract.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ø The role is to implement best practice in the area of trade compliance, export/import tariff processing and freight management.
Ø The focus of this role is on customs regulation frameworks such as tariff rules, import declarations requirements and customs brokerage. Trade compliance and issue resolution.
Ø Liaising with the Revenue Commissioners to ensure Vat and Duty are paid correctly in line with customs regulations and prepared for auditing purposes.
Ø Play a key role in ensuring that the requirements, business processes and procedures associated with international trade function smoothly and that issues and risks are identified and managed in an efficient and prompt manner.
Ø Develop and implement the relevant processes for Authorized Economic Operator status.
EXPERIENCE
§ 3 years + customs brokerage / clearance experience and/or supply chain experience
§ Third level qualification in Business or International Trade
§ Experience in engaging and communicating with customs brokerage representatives
§ Customs compliance internal audit experience
§ Experience in compliance risk analysis, strong analytical skills
§ Demonstrated expertise in customs issues and issue resolution
§ Strong SAP skills, experienced in MS Word and Excel.
