At Richmond Recruitment we are currently recruiting for a General Manager.

The suitable candidate must be able to demonstrate strong and effective skills in the following areas:

· Plan and direct the organisation’s activities to achieve agreed targets and standards for financial and trading performance, quality and legislative adherence.

Lead and organize the sales team to develop a diversified customer portfolio.
Manage and monitor performance on the entire sales cycle (prospecting, negotiation, closing).
Monitor individual sales performance, addressing any negative deviation from targets.
Recruit, manage, train and motivate staff according to company policies and employment law.
Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of existing PR, marketing and commercial policies, designing and implementing changes when required.
Report to shareholders on operational and commercial performance, on a monthly basis.

Person Profile / Experience

Strong organisational and communication skills, with good man-management capabilities.
Consistent record of increasing turnover and profitability.
Proven success in identifying sales channels and developing new opportunities through a passionate and committed approach to work.
Knowledge of / contacts within the Construction Industry in Ireland, including architects, developers, builders and interior designers.
Value people as critical to the success of the business, and possess the skills and charisma to motivate / nurture the team, and strive for service excellence.
Languages: knowledge of Spanish is a valuable skill.
