.NET Developer
at Cubic Telecom in Cork City
Cubic Telecom, a world leader in pioneering low cost mobile telephony, is currently seeking an experienced C# .NET Developer, based out of our head office in Cork, to assist on multiple .NET projects.
The ideal candidate should be energetic, enthusiastic, and committed to their work, and should be comfortable working in a fast paced, highly flexible environment. Candidates must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with fluency in English essential.
Third level education is a requirement, with industry experience of 3+ years desirable. The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate their knowledge of Microsoft .NET technologies, along with Microsoft SQL Server, and have experience deploying and maintaining large scale web applications based around a core set of critical API’s.
Duties:
• To help manage, maintain and build upon the existing platform in operation at Cubic Telecom
• To monitor work flows, processes and practices and identify areas for improvement
• You will be responsible for implementation and maintenance of new and existing core APIs to exceedingly high standards
• You will be responsible for regular communications with other key parties involved in feature delivery i.e. Business, Customer, Other Dev Teams, QA etc.
• You will participate in sizing and planning activities within the team
• You will participate in code reviews and other peer based development activities
• You will maintain a focus on delivering business priorities at all times
Job Requirements:
• Familiar with C# .NET and VB .NET (.NET framework 2.0, eventually 3.5)
• Strong understanding of OOP and familiarity with Design Patterns
• Working knowledge of ASP .NET, HTML, Javascript, CSS, Ajax, JQuery and .NET Web Services
• Working knowledge of TSQL, MS SQL Server 2005
• Familiar with Source Safe practices and tools, including Subversion, Tortoise SVN and AnkhSVN
• 2-5 years industry experience
This position requires that you work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9AM-6PM. You will work as part of a highly skilled, driven team who between them have created a scalable, reliable global communications network upon which the core business is founded.
