Automated Test Engineer
at Vizor in Dublin City South
Vizor is looking to employ an Automated Test Engineer with responsibility for managing all areas of automated testing from design through to execution. The automation process is a relatively new area to the organisation and the successful candidate must be highly motivated and have the ability to develop an effective and successful process. The candidate must have previous automated software testing experience with a good degree (or masters) from a reputable university in an IT related area. The successful candidate can look forward to a challenging and extremely rewarding career in Vizor.
Responsibilities include:
• Design and implementation of the automation process
• Creation and execution of the automated scripts
• Maintenance of the automation scripts
• Communicate with development team to ensure the automation scripts can effectively work with the code
• Write operational guides for the automation process
• Contribute to continuous improvement and quality of the testing process
• Analyse and understand the business requirements to develop appropriate test cases
• Create and execute manual test scripts as needed
Skills\Experience Required
• 1-2 years experience in a software testing role
• 1 year minimum experience in automated testing
• Degree or higher in IT related discipline
• Proven experience in designing and developing automated scripts using automated tools such as Quick Test Pro, Load Runner etc.
• Familiarity with multiple areas of testing (functional, regression, load, performance, integration, UAT)
• Experience in designing & executing test scripts and tracking bugs
• Strong analytical and questioning skills
• Ability to work on their own initiative
• Have good inter-personal and organisational abilities.
• Excellent English oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team to meet tight deadlines
