Group Leader, Pharma Microbiology & Chemistry - Cork

xGroup Leader, Pharma Microbiology & Chemistry required for a leading company in Cork.
Salary €60k + Bonus, Life Assurance
Paid Holidays, Pension, Permanent Health Insurance + VHI.
Purpose:
To lead and manage a team of Pharmaceutical Microbiology and Chemistry Analysts, based at a client company in the Cork area. To interact and communicate effectively at a high level with the customer and provide excellent customer service.
Behaviours Required:
Excellent Communication Skills – Will have an open and collaborative communication style.
Technical Excellence – Will have a background in the Pharmaceutical industry and proven technical ability so that he / she can lead detailed discussions and find solutions to a wide variety of relevant technical issues.
Leadership – Will have proven experience in leading and motivating teams. Will constantly look for ways to improve the service offering and coach team members to do the same.
Customer Orientated – Will constantly work to exceed customer’s expectations and handle all dealings with customers in a friendly and helpful manner.
Quality Orientated – Will continually perform a quality job in accordance with regulatory, customer and organisational requirements.
Organised – Will plan work thoroughly, notifying and involving others as required.
Productive – Results and quality of work will be of a consistently high standard and demonstrate excellent attention to detail.
Flexible – Will be flexible in work arrangements to meet the needs of the customer.
Skills Required:
Experienced, technically excellent microbiologist. Detailed knowledge of routine testing essential. Additional experience in Chemistry would be a distinct advantage.
Education / Experience Required:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology or equivalent is essential. Post graduate qualification is desirable.
2. Minimum of 5-7 years experience cGMP analytical microbiology with at least 2/3 years at a senior level.
3. Proven ability to effectively manage and motivate a team
