IT Account Manager - Dublin

Senior IT Account Manager is required for a leading provider of IT Security and Broadband communications solutions in Dublin. Products and Services include: Anti-Spam, Anti-Virus, Firewall & VPN, IDS/IPS, Vulnerability Management, Internet Access & Provisioning, Network Fax, Consulting, Installation, Support & Training.
The Job:
As Senior Account Manager you will be a member of a key accounts team , this role involves managing the ongoing commercial relationship with an assigned range of our blue chip customers, and identifying and developing opportunities for new business from these and potential new customers for a range of IT security products and services.
Senior Account Manager Key Responsibilities:
• Identify opportunities with existing customers
• Build solid relations with new and existing customer base
• Develop new business opportunities/customer base
• Work with vendors on business opportunities
• Prepare quotes and present same to customers
• Liaise with technical services team on customer requirements
• Weekly sales reporting
• Achieve monthly/quarterly targets
• Effective database management
• Developing a greater knowledge and understanding of the company products and marketplace in general.
The Candidate:
• The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, a high energy level and a huge appetite for success.
• The key requirements are: excellent communications skills, ability to meet deadlines, should work well on own initiative and as part of a team.
• Should also be a target driven individual, creative and persuasive, with proven negotiating skills.
• Good commercial acumen is a must.
• A minimum of 1-2 years experience in a similar type role is required.
• Experience in the IT sector, and knowledge of IT security products in particular, while beneficial are not essential.
• The individual should be a proficient computer user, fluent in applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
• Full clean drivers license.
