Commercial Business Analyst
Joining a commercially focused team with the Finance Department, this role will involve partnering with a business sector and working closely with functional management providing them with the financial expertise and analysis they require to run the business, while also ensuring that the appropriate level of financial rigour and challenge is applied to decisions.
Working on key financial projects, responsibilities will include:
The development of key relationships with internal customers
-Work with functional management to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness through initiatives such as process reviews, capacity modelling and customer profitability
-Provide financial expertise to the business for ongoing operations and projects
-Provide financial rigour and challenge for business initiatives, project cost/benefit analyses etc.
-Provide support for the annual planning and budgeting process
-Monitor headcount and costs, provide variance analysis and assistance to functional management to achieve targets
-Provide monthly and ad hoc management information
The successful candidate will be:
-Qualified accountant with minimum 1 year PQE and excellent commercial awareness
-Knowledge of the insurance industry would be advantageous although not essential
-Ability to build strong relationships and senior levels in the organisations
-Excellent excel and financial modelling skills
Our client is a large Insurance Group, with activities in general insurance, pensions, life assurance, risk management and personal financial services.
