Position: IT Infrastructure Engineer
Type: full-time and permanent
Location: Dublin South
Salary: depending on experience up to €60,000
Our client, a successful Irish owned organisation, is seeking a strong Infrastructure Engineer to become part of a busy team, supporting innovative on-demand solutions.
The job:
Reporting to the Hosted Services Manager, your duties will include:
• Monitor, maintain, upgrade and test the company’s hosted and internal infrastructure in line with new technologies
• Troubleshoot all infrastructure issues and communicate root causes
• Document all infrastructure related activities
• Provide excellent service and act as main point of contact for infrastructure related queries to ensure customer satisfaction of on-demand users
The requirements:
• 3rd level degree in Computer Science or similar and experience as a Senior Network Administrator within a complicated IT environment
• Extensive knowledge of installing and maintaining Windows based infrastructures
• Knowledge of server hardware management with extensive knowledge of SAN, clustered environments, VMWare and Hyper-V
• Experience with and understanding of systems architecture, server solutions, proxy and email servers, firewalls
• Flexible to work out of office hours and weekends, and to travel when required
